Consider the following statement: "We spend more time connecting online but less time connecting in person." Do you agree or disagree with this antithesis? Explain your perspective using personal experiences. Discuss how technology has influenced the way people communicate and build relationships. In your response, include at least one original example of antithesis. (Oct. 13th)

I agree with this antithesis because in my day-to-day life, I have met many people who are much more social and open online than they are in-person, and to an extent that applies to me somewhat as well. I think especially since the COVID pandemic, many people are still trying to readjust to in-person communication and interactions rather than solely relying on the internet anymore. However, being able to connect with people in person, especially now that we have passed the pandemic, is super important. Many people should try to connect with more people in person nowadays, not online.

Summary: Today in class, we took notes and did practice on litotes and antithesis.

Reflection: I think that a good way to practice connecting with people would be the practices we do in class. Doing work together in table groups gives people more of an opportunity to introduce their ideas and themselves as well.
